The fire at 43 Ketza Road in Riverdale was reported at about 1:45 a.m. on Saturday. (Submitted by Sylvio Lin) The Whitehorse fire department is investigating a Saturday morning house fire in Riverdale.
Fire #chief Kevin Lyslo said the fire started at about 1:45 a.m. He said the department received "multiple calls" reporting the blaze on Ketza Road.
"There was heavy fire and smoke on the exterior of the building, as well as … up into the roof area," he said.
Lyslo said there were occupants in the house at the time, but they were all able to escape without injuries. There was "significant damage" to two sides of the house, and the roof.
